Men Take the Slack and Call Your Members of Congress Already

Women don’t just care more about children and make more decisions about the home . They also show more protests, activism and political activism than men, according to several recent polls. Men, can you improve the situation a little?

Daily Action, for example, sends out text messages to subscribers every day urging them to call their members of Congress to get it over with. (He is not affiliated with a candidate or party, but many of the actions are aimed at countering Trump’s plans.) They recently polled their most active users , who are 86 percent women. Almost half of them were in the 45 to 65 age group. Young people, why are you leaving this job to mothers?

One survey doesn’t speak for everyone, so can guys pull their weight elsewhere? A Washington Post poll found Democratic women to outpace men. On the other hand, a survey by SurveyMonkey found that men and women were somewhat similar in their political activities, except that women were more likely to participate in protests. (Important note: They did not ask to call, not write to Congress, although this is the method of choice these days .)

Men, it’s not a woman’s job to clean up. And no matter who you are, don’t trust other people to take advantage of your weakness. If you care about what’s going on in politics, but you let others do the work, it’s time to pick up the damn phone.
