The Latest Beta of OneDrive Frees up Storage on Your Phone With Photo Backups
Android: If you prefer Microsoft OneDrive to back up your photos, you can now save space on your phone. When you upload more than 1GB of photos, the beta version of the app asks if you want to delete local copies.
This feature is very similar to what Google Photos has been offering for a while . The OneDrive app allows you to access all of your photos at any time, so you probably don’t need to store them on our phone. Just tap the notification and you can instantly free up space on your device. This feature is still in the stage of testing, so you need to join the community OneDrive Google+, and then register to participate in the beta test, to use it.
