Free Travel With Pets on the Amtrak Bus Until March 31
Traveling with pets can be challenging . It can also be expensive . If you have to travel with your pet in the next few months, Amtrak has a special promotion that allows them to travel for free until March 31st (but you will need to make a reservation shortly).

The Free Pet Ride Offer, available on trips booked from December 6 to 11, 2016 or while stock is available, allows pets to ride at no additional cost on participating Amtrak routes from March 9 to 31, 2017 … dog or cat, tickets must be purchased at least three days before travel and are valid until March 31, 2017. Only one cat or one small dog is permitted in a closed carrier on trips of up to seven hours.
The small print also states that the total weight of the animal and carrier must not exceed 20 pounds. You can view their full pet policy here and for more information visit the link below.
