Castro Adds Widget Controls to Instantly Listen to Podcasts on IPhone
iPhone: Castro is a great podcast manager for people who prefer to focus on individual episodes rather than full subscriptions, and today the update is making those podcasts much faster.
Unlike most podcast managers, Castro uses an inbox system where you queue up the podcast episodes you want to listen to. This queue hierarchy makes it easy to play podcasts. You will see up to nine of the best episodes in the widget, and you can play the episode without opening the app. It sounds like a silly little thing, but it’s very useful, especially when you just want to hear something without going into details. The update also adds support for CarPlay and the price has been dropped to $ 3.99.
