Impress Guests at Dinner With an Edible Brown Butter Candle

Beautiful food tastes better , and a fun presentation can make dinner even more enjoyable. Edible oil candles serve a dual purpose, adding ambience and healthy, meaningful serving of sexy and tasty whimsy.

Clifford Endo can walk you through the video above, but it’s pretty easy to do. First you need to brown some butter (two sticks make about three candles) and season with a crushed garlic clove and a few sprigs of thyme. Melt the butter, add the flavors and some salt, and cook over low heat until the butter is pleasant brown. Strain through cheesecloth or coffee filter and pour into empty containers. (Optional: add a pinch of lemon zest in each vow to get super flavorful boost.) Place the wick – you can get a special wicks covered with melted butter, – in every vow and put them in the refrigerator so that they become harder.

When they are solid, place the candles on the table and light them to create a certain mood (and delicious scent), serve dinner to your friends or family (what you serve is up to you; everything is improved by oil), then sharply reveal the dual purpose of the candles in front of them. If they are not happy, politely ask them to leave the table. You don’t need this kind of negativity in your life.
