After Donald Trump is elected president, the next obvious question for everyone is what happens when he actually takes office. The plan, released in mid-October, provides some guidance. To better understand what is going to happen, NPR has fact-tested it.

While the president seems to have all the power, he still needs congressional approval to do anything. Others, such as constitutional amendments, require not only congressional assistance, but also state approval.
