Fingerprint Swift Action: Pixel Fingerprint Gestures on Any Phone

Android (6.0+): Pixel phones have one really nifty hidden feature that’s still difficult to reproduce: fingerprint gestures. Swipe down on the sensor on the back of your phone and the notification bar will slide down. Now other phones can take part in the promotion.

XDA user ztc1997 has created a small app that allows the fingerprint sensor to be used as an impromptu touchpad for simple gestures. To enable it, you need to install the app from the below source link and then follow these steps:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Scroll down and tap Accessibility.
  3. Tap Quick Fingerprint Actions.
  4. Toggle the switch to make the app accessible.

Once that’s done, you can open the app to customize your gestures. You can set different actions to simply tap or quickly swipe the sensor. Please note that this is still an early version of the app and may not work on all devices.
