Get the Best of Both Worlds for Breakfast With PanWaffle

When you think nutritional innovation has stopped, a hero appears and creates a truly beautiful mashup. After seeing Jimmy Fallon describe his perfect breakfast – PanWaffle – Food52’s Erin McDowell set out to make his dream come true.

The link below will walk you through the entire process, but you only need one batch of dough for this culinary portmanteau. You start pouring 2/3 cup of your dough into a shallow waffle iron and simmer until it’s easy to set but lightly browned. Then, transfer the slightly undercooked waffles to the skillet and pour in another 2/3 cup batter. Cook until bubbles form, turn over, cook for a couple of minutes and fry.
