Most Budget Vacation Cities From the USA
Most of us have at least a few weekends during the holidays, so this might be a good time to squeeze into the trip. If you’re looking for an affordable place to visit, check out Kayak’s list of inexpensive cities to travel to.
Kayak has processed millions of flight and hotel searches in its database (a similar report was published last year ). The report includes travel destinations in the US as well as overseas cities (from the US and Canada), beach destinations, and New Years Eve trips.
In San Jose, Costa Rica, prices were 35% below the average international flight prices, making them the # 1 Kayak international flight. Historically, the average round-trip flight to San Jose is $ 480 in November, $ 654 in December, and $ 475 in January. Again, these median prices are based on historical data, so while they do not guarantee future results, according to the Kayak database, this is how the numbers look historically.
Las Vegas tops their list of US cities for cheap vacation travel. Average airfare to Vegas is $ 258 in November, $ 247 in December, and just $ 221 in January. Here is their full list of available international destinations from the US and Canada:
