Draw Small and Intricate Spaces With a Sponge

The next time you paint chair axles or stair railings, discard the brush and use a sponge. Country Chic Paint (CCP) says sponges are easier to use in small, uneven and difficult spaces.

Unlike a brush, a sponge envelops objects more easily, creating an even layer. But you get a thinner coat, says CCP.

When painting with a sponge, you will notice that the paint is applied in very thin layers. But don’t worry, this is good! Painting in thin layers will help you achieve better adhesion and durability. The paint also dries faster, so you don’t have to wait long between coats.

You can still use the brush (or these slanted sponge brushes) later to touch up the corners, but this will make most of the work easier.
