Facebook makes it easy to get recommendations from friends with a new, appropriately named, Recommendations feature. When you ask for something, Facebook will display them and show you more information about the businesses your friends are suggesting.
For example, you want to know if there are good restaurants nearby. Your friends can tag any restaurants they like. These locations will appear as pink dots on the map just below your status. You can then click on that company to learn more about it. Facebook is also adding the ability to make appointments, buy tickets, and request a quote from these companies, so your friends’ recommendations will help you get what you need faster.
