If You Don’t Have Time to Prepare Food, Just Prepare the Marinade

Meal planning should be simple, but it’s not always easy. Ideally, you should cook a large meal on Sunday that will last the whole week. Maybe you have something to do on Sunday. Maybe you just don’t feel like cooking for 5-7 days right away. Here’s a simpler option: Prepare a marinade instead.

Preparing ahead of time is great advice, but to be honest, it’s not tempting to devote an entire night to preparatory work either. This is where pickling comes in. It takes five minutes to assemble one, and you’ll be ready to cook when you get home the next evening.

I think this is a great idea for several reasons. First, it won’t take your entire Sunday afternoon. You can find a quick marinade recipe , prepare a few of them beforehand and then put them in the refrigerator. From there, all you have to do is toss the meat or vegetables in the morning and then return home and toss them on the stove. Plus, when I manage to cook a meal for a whole week, I always get tired of eating the same by Tuesday. This method gives you a little more variety.
