Give Your Sangria an Autumn Makeover by Using Cider Instead of Wine

Summer is over, but this is no reason to give up the cold fruit sangria. To refresh this delicious jug of alcoholic beverages, simply substitute apple cider for wine.

You can use the Bon Appetit recipe (link below) as a template, but the main things you’ll need are six packs of strong cider (I’d go with a drier option) and apple brandy. From there, you can add fresh cut fruit (apples, yes), cinnamon sticks, star anise, or simple fall flavored syrup (I vote for ginger). Stir it all in a jug of ice, pour and sweat over the fire.
