Twitter Now Allows Anyone to Collect Tweets in Moments, Embed Them on Web Pages

Twitter Moments aren’t necessarily one of Twitter’s most popular features (again, not the worst ), but they’re getting more and more interesting these days. Anyone can now collect a group of related tweets and share them as a single moment.

Moments for those who continue to ignore this tab on the Twitter app are collections of related tweets that are pieced together to give you a broader context for the story. In theory, they are pretty neat. In practice, Twitter only allowed certain companies to create them, and they were difficult to view. Therefore, most people ignored them.

Twitter now provides the ability to create moments for everyone. What’s more, you can now embed them in web pages, making it much easier to share a group of tweets. This is more in line with how Twitter is already being used, with people sharing what they find both on and off Twitter. It still goes a little beyond the immediacy that makes Twitter’s bread and butter, but at least it could be something that’s useful enough for casual users.
