Plex Cloud Stores All Your Media on Amazon Drive

Plex Media Server is one of the easiest ways to access all of your movies from your local NAS. Plex Cloud is a new service that can eliminate the need for this NAS by connecting to an Amazon Drive account.

As the name suggests, Plex Cloud links your Plex account to your Amazon Drive account. This means you can get rid of the NAS and keep your entire media library online. Aside from being connected to the network, Plex Cloud works in much the same way as a NAS powered Plex server and can be accessed from all of the same apps. Plex Drive will cost you, however, as you’ll need a Plex account ($ 39.99 / year) and an Amazon Drive account ($ 59.99 / year), although support for other third-party cloud servers may appear in the future. Now Plex Cloud is in the stage of beta testing, but you can sign up for access to the Plex Online .
