Prevent Chrome Web Pages From Jumping on Your Android Device

Android: If you are using Chrome on your Android phone, you may have noticed a little quirk when opening a new tab. As the page loads, your pages will jump. AddictiveTips.com explains how to avoid this.

As they explain, pages jump because different elements on the page are loaded. As more of these elements are loaded, the page will adjust the scroll position, so if you open a page with a lot of images it can be annoying.

Here’s how to nip this irritation in the bud:

Open Chrome and enter Chrome: // flags in the address bar. Find the Scroll Anchor flag and enable it. Do not leave it set to “Default”. Tap the drop-down list below the checkbox and select enable. Restart Chrome…. It will not slow down or speed up your web browsing. Likewise, it will not affect how the page looks after loading, so if you have issues with elements going off-screen this is not a fix or a reason for it.

This is a simple enough tip to be a little annoying. To view the entire publication, follow the link below.
