Disconnect Privacy Pro Eliminates Tracking on IPhones and Samsung Devices, Free for a Week
iPhone / Android (Samsung devices): Disconnect has long been one of our favorite tools for protecting your online privacy , and today Disconnect is releasing a new mobile app called Privacy Pro that blocks trackers on your device.
Privacy Pro blocks trackers inside apps and in your chosen browser. Thus, it promises to reduce bandwidth and speed up page loading in general. It does this by routing your traffic through a restricted VPN that blocks trackers (but doesn’t route all your traffic or change your IP address), which the app automatically configures for you with a tap. It collects this tracking data so you can see what is being blocked and from where. The Samsung version of the app also shows which apps are the source of invasive tracking.
Privacy Pro will start at $ 40 after September 28, but you can download it for free next week from the Galaxy Apps Store for Samsung devices (or this link on your Samsung device) or the iTunes App Store.
Update: In an earlier version of this post, the app was called Disconnect Pro. After contacting the developer, we learned that Disconnect Pro and Privacy Pro are one and the same, which caused some confusion. However, the mobile app is listed on the store as Privacy Pro, which is exactly what you need. It’s free now, no subscriptions or anything else will be added to the app.
