This Interactive Map of Fall Foliage Shows When the Leaves Begin to Change Color

Nothing epitomizes the warm, fluffy sensation of falling like the discoloration of the leaves. This interactive map shows when you can expect to see fall foliage in different parts of the United States.

Tool taken from The Ultimate Smoky Mountains Guide travel site. This is useful for travel planning, but it’s also just fun to see when fall will actually be in your area. You move the timeline and the map changes color depending on how much the leaves change color. It will tell you if there is likely to be a minor change in the area, a partial change if the change is at its peak, or if the foliage in the area has gone beyond its peak.
