One of the best features of Snapchat is the often silly geofilters that pop up when you take a photo from a specific location. Today Snapchat makes it easy to create custom filters for special events. Provided you don’t mind shelling out a few bucks.
The new template makes it easy to customize the filter for weddings, birthdays and other celebrations. You can also upload your own images if you want, but the web tool lets you create filters on the fly. After you choose your design, you choose which dates you want to activate the filter, and then outline the area where they will act. If it’s a small area the size of a city block or so, you can create your own filter for $ 5. It’s a little silly, but can be fun for parties and weddings.
