This Video Teaches Kids Everything They Need to Know About Joules.
The joule may be a rather confusing form of measurement for adults, but the folks at Adafruit have figured out how joules work for a younger audience. In this case, the video is just as useful for confused adults.
A joule is equal to the amount of energy transferred or work done. In simple terms, it is a unit of measure that measures how much effort it takes to get something done. For example, it takes about one joule to lift an apple a meter above the ground. When you apply the same dimension to something like light bulbs it gets a little more confusing, but the video above explains it in a fairly simple way that you can understand it anyway.
