Android Nougat : For reasons that humanity cannot yet understand, Google continues to tease us with a pleasant night mode in Android beta versions and then yanks at it at the last second . Fortunately, he is still buried in the latest version. This app brings it back.
Night Mode Enabler does one very simple task: it re-enables the Night Mode quick settings tile in Android Nougat. If you have not enabled the hidden System UI Tuner , you will be prompted to enable it first. When you have a Night Mode tile, you can click on it to enter a mode with color temperature adjustments to make it easier for your eyes. You can even long press on a tile to adjust its options and make it turn on automatically.
Of course, Google probably hid this feature for a reason. Don’t be surprised if it disappears in a future update, or if it glitches and breaks on your phone. This app does not require root access or anything else , but it is still not officially recommended by Google.
