Napkin Talks About Recipes so You Can Focus on Your Cooking

iOS: There are many useful recipe apps out there, the only problem is that cooking and checking your phone after each step can be a little annoying. The napkin eliminates this irritation with voice-activated recipes.

The app is free, but it has a limited selection of recipes, meaning you can’t just import and use any old recipe you find on the Internet. You have to use their database and there are only a few recipes available at the moment (but there will be more).

The good news is the recipes look delicious and the app works great. You simply select a recipe and it guides you through each step of the instructions. For example, when you are done dicing onions, simply say “next,” and the Napkin will read the next step aloud.

Each step shows you a photo of what the step should look like so you can make sure you are on the right track. Of course, every recipe also includes the full text. The app is also available on Apple Watch. Unfortunately, there is no Android version yet. However, if you have an Amazon Echo, this post shows you how to use it to read recipes aloud. You can check out this app yourself by following the link below.
