Add Flavor to Whipped Cream With Freeze-Dried Fruit

Homemade whipped cream tastes good, but adding fruity notes takes it to the next level. Use freeze-dried fruit to enhance the flavor of the whipped cream and add color right away.

Any freeze-dried fruit (cherry, raspberry, blueberry) will do. In a food processor, grind the freeze-dried fruit and sugar until powdered. Stir in the cream and beat until the consistency of Greek yogurt. Freeze-dried fruit gives the cream a stronger flavor than fresh fruit or essential oils, so it’s a great option when you want that fruity flavor to shine. For the savory cream, use freeze-dried vegetables, or if you prefer, take dried fruits and put them in the freezer to make your own.
