Lonely Planet’s Free E-Book of Rio De Janeiro Guides You Through the Host City of the Olympic Games

On the eve of the start of the Olympics, it’s time to learn a little about the host city, Rio de Janeiro. Lonely Planet put together a guide for this and the electronic version is made available free of charge.

The book provides a basic overview of the city with a map, transportation details, main meals, and an introduction to all of the neighborhoods that participate in the 2016 games. It’s a pretty fun little breakdown of the city, and if all the breathtaking views that are bound to appear in the video during the Olympics make you want to visit the city, the book is a great place to start. At least you’ll also find some recipes to make your own Rio-style cocktails and snacks. You will find a site with a breakdown of all of the following, as well as a link to a PDF of the free eBook.
