Instagram Stories Apes Snapchat, Lets Draw on Photos

Today Instagram is launching a new feature dubbed Instagram Stories. Basically, this is Instagram’s answer to Snapchat.

Instagram Stories will appear at the top of the news feed, will only be available for 24 hours, and are designed to allow people to share tons of photos without having to worry about cluttering up their regular Instagram feed. Just like Snapchat, you can draw on photos and videos, or apply giant emojis to them. Just like Snapchat, Instagram Stories have no comments or likes. One of the main differences between Instagram Stories and Snapchat appears to be the lack of lenses, so if you want to take a bee selfie you need to stick with Snapchat for now. You can get updates for Android and iPhone right now, although the Stories feature will be rolled out gradually over the next few weeks.
