You Can Still Get Windows 10 for Free If You Use Assistive Technology

Microsoft’s free Windows 10 upgrade offer officially ended yesterday . However, the company left a loophole. If you need to use assistive technology, you can still upgrade for free. Microsoft also doesn’t check if you do this.

According to a hidden page on the Microsoft website, users who require special features can choose a free upgrade for an indefinite period of time. To sign up for a free update, you just have to check the box that says you are using assistive technology, and Microsoft doesn’t seem to validate the claim at all, so it might work even for regular users who missed the deadline.

Microsoft can cancel or change the offer at any time, so if you’re looking to upgrade to Windows 10 and don’t want to pay, you should probably check it out as soon as possible. To get started, follow the link below and click “Update Now”.

Update: Microsoft has released a statement to ZDNet stating that the tool is not intended to be used as a workaround for users who are not using assistive technologies and have missed the deadline . However, there is no indication of exactly how and if Microsoft checks to see if the updater is using helper tools.
