Resistance bands are those big rubber bands that most people ignore in the gym. It’s a shame because they’re cool and incredibly travel-friendly. This picture shows many of the strength exercises you can do with them in and out of the gym.

We discussed the different types of resistance bands ( closed loop and tape with handles ) and how versatile they could be in the past. This chart gives you many ideas on how you can work with each part of your body, grouped by body part and difficulty. Resistance bands can even be used to prepare for the first pull-up ! In the exercises below, use a variety of everyday objects, such as a heavy chair, bed, post, or door, as an anchor point.
