How to Play Pokémon Go in Landscape Mode on IPhone

If you don’t like having to play Pokémon Go in vertical mode on your iPhone, this landscape mode workaround is very easy to do.

The first person to launch the application in landscape mode was the redditor, who did it by accident . Since then, people have tried to recreate the crash and there seems to be a guaranteed method now. Several sources have tested it, including Redmond Pie andTech Insider , and of course it worked for me too. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Open the Pokémon Go app and hold your phone sideways.
  2. Tap the PokéBall icon to open the menu, then tap the Settings icon in the upper left corner.
  3. Scroll to and tap Report High Priority Issue. Then click Yes. You will exit the application and open Safari.
  4. Press the Home button, then tap the Pokémon Go icon to reopen the app.

That’s all! You should now be in landscape mode. There has also been talk of a way to do this on Android devices , but nothing concrete so far. And keep in mind that this is not a real feature, but rather a bug, so it can cause problems with gameplay, especially when you are trying to catch Pokémon. However, it looks pretty cool and can be fine when you are just driving to nearby PokéStops to collect items .
