Convert an Old T-Shirt Into a Woven Necklace
If you have a T-shirt that you can no longer wear, give it new life in the form of a beautiful woven necklace. All you need are regular household supplies and about half an hour.
Take a measuring tape, scissors, and a pen. Cut the shirt along the side seam so you can lay it flat. Fold the fabric in half and mark every three inches, cut from these marks to create stripes. Don’t worry about keeping the edges perfectly smooth, the braid will hide the uneven edges.
Tie the ends of the strips with a piece of fabric, this will serve as an anchor when weaving. You will need to create a series of U-loops and thread the strips of fabric until you have woven the entire fabric together. Tie the end together with another piece of fabric.
