Google Unveils Bubblesum – the Coolest Way to Read Comics in Play Books
Android: Google Play Books is already our favorite e-book , but it’s also fast becoming our favorite comic book reader. Google just announced a new feature that highlights text bubbles when reading comics in Play Books.
The new feature, unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con , uses image recognition to highlight speech bubbles in a comic and highlight them as you read. You can use the volume up and down buttons to move from one bubble to the next as you read, while enjoying the full cover page.
This feature is currently in “technical preview” and only works with a few collections published by Marvel and DC, which you can find here .
