Three Main Programming Languages for Electronics

If you’re planning on messing around with electronics, be it a Raspberry Pi, Arduino, or whatever, you need to know at least a little programming knowledge. Hackster.io sent out a survey to find out which three languages people think are the best to learn.

More than 3,000 people from all over the world took part in the survey. They overwhelmingly point to C and C ++ as a language to learn if you are into electronics. C is followed by Python, followed by Javascript, Java, and C #.

In terms of hardware itself, the Arduino led the way, followed by the Raspberry Pi and Particle. Obviously, which language you learn and which platform you use depends on the project itself, but if you’re not sure where to start, C and C ++ seem like a good place to go. Head over to Hackerster.io to see the full results of their survey.
