Rest of the Day: Lyft Offers Luxury Ride Services
Dude, it’s hot in here – about seven inches from the midday sun. And when you need to ride in that summer heat, you probably want to keep cool. So cool that you can book a luxury ride with Lyft, although the Prius won’t do it.
- Lyft offers a more luxurious option for your trip if you’re picky about your car choice . Starting today, you can request a Premier ride that Lyft says will send you “a high-end sedan or SUV such as a BMW 5 Series, Audi A6, Lexus ES or Cadillac Escalade.” The service is currently only available in New York, Los Angeles and the Bay Area. Update: Lyft told us that this is not really a black car service as it still uses its regular drivers, only with prettier cars. [Lyft]
- In other news, Pokemon Go is now available in the US. The game was developed by Niantic , which also made one of our favorite augmented reality games, Ingress . If that’s not enough to keep you interested, just remember the wise words of Pokemon enthusiast Herman Cain : “Life can be a challenge. Life may seem impossible. It’s never easy when there is so much on the line. But you and I can change something. There is a mission just for you and me. [Kotaku]
- Final Fantasy VII is finally available on Android. It’s a great time to relive your favorite childhood games. [Android Central]
- The dating app Bumble is set to launch a professional networking service similar to LinkedIn. BumbleBizz will help connect people looking for professional connections using the left / right swipe system common in similar dating apps. The service will launch later this year.
