Audible Channel Service Reads News Aloud, Offers Premium Podcasts, and More

Today, the audiobook site Audible launched a new service called Channels. The service offers voice recordings of news and podcasts both as a separate subscription and free of charge in the standard Audible subscription.

The new Channels feature is available in existing Audible apps, and they include a mix of original programming specifically designed for Audible, short programming, voice-overs for news from different sources, reading stories from different authors and genres, and a handful of popular podcasts as they are. Existing Audible users get the channels for free, but if you’re interested, you can get a separate subscription for $ 4.95 per month. You can check out some of the channel offerings on the Audible website below.
