Use the Box to Spray Paint on Small Items Without Mess
Spray paint is simple and relatively inexpensive, but if you don’t have room to spread tarp or paper to paint small items like drawers, picture frames, and doorknobs, use a cardboard box to keep the clutter under control.
The box will contain paint as you spray, resulting in more paint on your project and less on walls, floors, or any other surface nearby. Plus, when you’re done with the box, it is recyclable, so cleaning is easy. If you’re painting outdoors, this will also keep insects and debris out of the wet paint and ruin your finish. A painting mask ( from Amazon , for example) can help you stay safe if you paint in a confined space, but be sure to do it in a ventilated area.
If you want to lift your item up, a piece of styrofoam with ice cream sticks (you can even use a pair of pencils) holds the item from the bottom of the box and allows for easy rotation as you draw on each side. Once the paint is dry inside the box, you can fold it for easy storage and use later.
