Rest of the Day: Waze Can Now Navigate Tricky Intersections in Los Angeles
I’m one of those wayward drivers who take three turns to the right to avoid annoying left turns at a tricky intersection, so the new Waze feature is just for me. If you live in Los Angeles, the navigation app can now redirect you around those pesky intersections with poor visibility and other problems.
- They call it a “hyperlocal” problem, and so far this feature is only available in Los Angeles. Some intersections lack proper lights, are too crowded, require multiple oncoming traffic, or are simply poorly designed, and the new feature hopes to offer guidance on navigation to help you avoid these difficult and dangerous intersections. Hey, that’s not even a bad idea if for some reason you have frequent meetings and greetings outside of your office.
