Use Quick Look to Preview Files in the Recycle Bin If You Don’t Want to Move Them

When you move a file to the Trash in OS X, you cannot open it until you drag it from the Trash. This is sometimes inconvenient, but as OS X Daily reminds us, you can simply use Quick Look to preview the file.

When you’re browsing the trash can, tap the space bar and you will open the selected file with Quick Look. You don’t have to move that file out of the trash to look at it, which is useful if you’re just trying to find a single image file that you accidentally dumped there. You could do this in almost every version of OS X, but this is one of those little tips that’s easy to forget if you don’t do it often.
