Sure, the drawing below is courtesy of the National Pen, which has a vested interest in getting you to actually touch the pen to paper and take physical notes, but the information inside is still useful. In addition to pointing out that some of the benefits of typing are faster and more comfortable, writing improves memory and encourages critical thinking. Fortunately, there are ways to eat and eat your cake, such as writing with a stylus on a tablet or scanning paper notes for ease of use with services like Evernote.
