Sitting in front of a screen all day can seriously damage your spine. Our posture changes and this can cause serious long-term damage. Dr. Eric Goodman, creator of the Foundation Training program, offers these three exercises without equipment to help you.
Exercise (The Founder, Lunge Stretch, and the unnamed third) promise to reduce back pain and improve posture over time. Goodman helpfully explains the correct technique for each step, and also explains exactly which part of your muscles should feel stretched or activated when you take a step. This is a great way to tell you if you are doing it right or not.
Before you start, please note that if you have chronic back pain or are already seeing a physical therapist, you should check with him first. You can also start with this other wall posture correction exercise , which is easier to do than Goodman’s methods.
