Raspberry Pi Zero Gets Camera Connector, More Devices Sent to Production to Meet Demand
The Raspberry Pi Zero, the cheap version of the popular $ 5 computer , has been notoriously hard to find since its first release. Today they are releasing a new model that adds a camera connector. They have recognized the demand as well, so hopefully these new versions will be a little easier to track down.
The only real difference on the new Zero is the camera connector that connects to the official camera , but considering how many camera projects there are, this is a welcome addition. In a blog post, the Raspberry Pi Foundation also acknowledges the fact that they were a little overwhelmed by demand and states that around 30,000 units have been shipped today, with production increasing. So hopefully now you can actually find one of them. In the US, this means checking out Adafruit or your local Micro Center .
