Use Do Not Disturb Mode to Improve Your IPhone Gameplay

IOS games are a thing that people love or hate, but no matter which side you are on, everyone knows that notifications can ruin a good outcome. How-To Geek reminds us of the importance of Do Not Disturb mode.

Lifehacker alumnus Whitson Gordon notes that receiving an in-game notification usually causes the game to freeze, which almost always crashes. So, “Do not disturb” is the answer. Before entering the game, swipe up on the screen to open Control Center, then tap the moon icon to turn on Do Not Disturb mode. Depending on if you messed with the default settings here, you might still need to do one setting. Go to Settings> Do Not Disturb and make sure Silent is set to Always. Otherwise, you will still receive notifications when you play games. Admittedly, Do Not Disturb is an obvious fix for anyone who uses iOS a lot, but it’s also easy to forget about.
