The Google Play Store Will Now Tell You If the App Is Showing Ads

A while ago, the Google Play Store was showing if the app contains in-app purchases so you can better decide if you want to use it. The store will now also tell you if the app contains ads.

While free apps are extremely popular, developers still need to make money somehow. Sometimes this can mean advertising support for their applications. However, most of them don’t talk about it in advance. Now Google decides to be wrong. If you are not interested in using an ad-supported application, you should be able to find out about it before installing it, rather than after having already encountered a problem.
