Buband Adds Support to a Sports Bra You’re Already Wearing
Finding the perfect sports bra can be tricky. You will need a wide strap, full front coverage, anti-penetration straps, and matching material to keep you comfortable and not bouncing. This is a difficult task , so Buband went in a different direction. Their strap prevents bounce and your regular sports bra does the rest.
Basically, it’s a $ 40 rubber band. While a DIY version should be possible, this is the first product of this type we’ve seen. In the past, you could either wear two sports bras (difficult to put on and take off; twice the price) or search harder for the perfect bra.
The Canadian company, whose name is pronounced “boob band”, produces ribbons in five sizes, suitable for breasts from 31 to 46 inches. Kelly Barten of the Run Oregon blog notes that getting the right fit is tricky, and Brook Froehlich of the Alliance for Women Outdoors says she felt a little embarrassed about the resulting smooth body shape. The strap’s performance doesn’t seem to be in doubt – so add that to the possibilities the next time you buy a sports bra.
