Five Easy Ways to Add a 1/4 “Tripod Mount to Anything

Sometimes you have to be a little cunning when you are at a photo shoot or in a movie. Here are five clever ways to add 1/4 ” mounts to your camera equipment and accessories so you can take them with you wherever you go.

This video from youtuber thefrugalfilmmaker shows you how to attach the traditional 1/4 “tripod mount to just about anything. You can attach the 1/4” double nuts to a flat surface with epoxy or double sided tape , use the spring loaded mount for your phone or tablet with a 1/4 ” mount for a small monitor or battery stand, attach the grounding clip to a pole or retractable monopod to extend the range of installed devices, set a temporary 1/4″ mount point by adding a mini ball head to the spring clip. Of course, you can also create a permanent attachment point anywhere by drilling a hole yourself and tapping it to fit 1/4 ” equipment. You can find links to all the tools it uses in the link below.
