Visionary Brings Mac-Like Previews to Windows
Windows: On OS X, you can select a file and press the spacebar to quickly preview it. You can’t do this on Windows – at least not without Seer, a free utility that gives you the same capabilities. Tap the space bar to quickly preview an image, video, or audio file, and press the space bar again to close.
Seer is an experimental app, so expect some bugs here and there, but it worked well enough on Windows 10 when I tried it. The app works really well with photos, videos (which is much better than opening a video to see what it is if you don’t have a great naming scheme for the uploaded video) and audio files.
It doesn’t work with documents and other text files, though, so if you’re familiar with how Quick Look works in OS X and wants an exact copy on Windows, it’s not quite there yet. At the same time, it’s much better than most of the other similar tools we’ve tried, so it’s still worth taking a look at. Follow the link below to give it a try.
