Gmail for Android Gets Text Formatting and Instant Replies to Calendar Requests
Ever dreamed of formatting email on the go with more than just plain text? Good news: Google has updated Gmail so you can now use text formatting like bold or colored text. You can also quickly respond to calendar invitations with one tap.
To format the text in an email, select it and click the new Format option, which opens the formatting menu as shown above.
The new instant replies feature seems to be handy as well. Once you receive a calendar invitation from Google Calendar or Microsoft Exchange, Gmail will show you your schedule so you know if you can fit it, then tap to reply.
I don’t see these new features in Gmail for Android yet, but they’re coming to your phone soon.
