Amazon’s Free Shipping Minimum Is Now $ 49.

Even if you don’t have Prime, you can still get free shipping from Amazon if you hit the spending threshold. Until recently, that threshold was $ 35, but Amazon has just raised the minimum free shipping cost to $ 49.

Customers noticed the change over the weekend and posted social ads on Reddit. The new policy says:

Add books worth at least $ 25 (in which case all other eligible items in the order will also be shipped free) or at least $ 49 of all other eligible items to your cart. Any item with a “FREE Shipping” message on the product detail page that is run and shipped by Amazon is eligible and contributes to your minimum order for free shipping.

If you have Prime , this will not affect you. However, this is a real leap for loyal customers. Amazon last raised the minimum amount in 2013, when the threshold increased from $ 25 to $ 35. If you’ve been thinking about purchasing Prime, this might be exactly what you need. Of course, this is probably what Amazon is going to do with this move.
