These Are the Companies That Send the Most Spam by Email.

It is almost impossible to completely block email spam. However, if you know who the main culprits are, you know where to start. Here are the companies that sent the most spam in 2015.

According to Unroll.Me, one of our long-standing favorite ways to get rid of spam in your inbox , there are companies out there that send out far more spam than anyone else. Here are five top spammers to look out for based on their data:

  1. Groupon: 388 emails sent per user on average.
  2. LivingSocial: Average 363 emails per user.
  3. Facebook: Average 310 emails per user.
  4. Meetup: Average 199 emails per user.
  5. J. Crew: Average 175 emails per user.

Some of this spam, like Facebook emails, can be easily turned off by changing a few settings . And some of them, like Groupon emails, may be accepted by some people. That being said, there are a few serious offenders on the full list that you should probably consider blocking, especially apparel retailers such as J. Crew, Victoria’s Secret, Kohls and Old Navy. Each of them filled people’s inboxes with an average of over 130 emails per user.
