Consider Maintenance Costs When Spending Money on “investment Shares”
Sometimes it makes sense to invest in quality. For example, buying cheap replacement clothes can end up costing you more . At the same time, if you are buying an “investment item”, you should consider the cost in excess of the price: higher quality items usually require more maintenance.
For example, I try to buy quality clothes that are durable, but if those things need to be dry cleaned, I find myself not actually wearing them. (Mitch Hedberg joked about this: “This shirt says dry clean only, which means it’s dirty”). These clothes are made to last, but for me they are still a waste of money because they just sit. in my closet.
Whether it’s trendy countertops or beautiful furniture, you want to think about the care you need for your “investment” because care takes time and effort. Not only that, dry cleaning costs money too. So over time, you will spend even more.

Don’t buy an investment item until you’re ready to take care of it … The key to investing in things is what you need and expect them to last. So get ready to take care of them. Investing is a mature thing for any form of word; Taking care of a pair of leather boots or a wooden table is no exception.
This does not mean that you should go back to buying shit and not quality. You just want to view the content when you purchase quality. I still try to buy good things, but only if I have to spend a lot of time on it.
