Bound for IOS Plays All Your Audiobooks From Dropbox
iPhone: The DRM-free audiobook business isn’t exactly booming (although sites like Downpour and LibriVox exist to help you find them), that doesn’t mean you might not have audiobook files in your Dropbox account. If you do that, Bound will be a great player.
While you can always manually add an audiobook to something like Audible or iBooks, this is a bit tricky. Bound solves this problem by connecting to your Dropbox account. Once your account is linked, you can upload audiobook files directly from Dropbox to Bound, where you can play them with all the benefits of a modern audiobook player. When you pause a book, it remembers where you were and you can use the bookmarks if you like. However, other than that, don’t expect any bells and whistles. It’s also a bit of a shame that Bound only references Dropbox and not other services, and won’t let you stream files instead of downloading them. However, as a very simple audiobook player that makes it easy to transfer files from your computer to your phone, it does what it set out to do.
