1Password 6 Comes to Android With Fingerprint Unlock and Smoother Interface

The Android version of 1Password from AgileBits received an update today that adds support for fingerprint unlocking, as well as a complete redesign of the interface.

One of our favorite password managers, 1Password 6 for Android now looks a little cleaner, easier to navigate, and overall a little more user-friendly thanks to a floating toolbar that can be accessed from any screen in the app. Fingerprint reader support for phones like the Google Nexus 5X and Samsung Galaxy S6 is also a welcome addition, allowing you to use your fingerprint to unlock all your passwords instead of using a master password. Fingerprint unlock is now available for 1Password Keyboard. If you have a phone running Android 4.1 or newer, you can download the update from the Google Play store for free now. The premium features of the app still require a one-time in-app purchase, but if you’ve previously unlocked the premium features, they carry over to version 6 when you update.
